I remember Duane so well. I remember visiting with him when he was cooking at the hamburger place on the corner in Rockland, dating him when he was studying to become a chef -- and I well remember our fun times and his big infectious smile that would brighten any room and make anyone's day all the happier. Duane was a big-hearted, genuinely lovely person -- and a kind, thoughtful and sincere friend. And even though I had not seen Duane in years, I always considered him to be one of my very good friends, a forever friend. RIP with the Lord, Duane.
Duane.......was more like a brother than a cousin, we started out life with Sandy, Duane and Elaine across the lane from us. We played and grew up together. Duane, you were the most annoying and aggravating to us but we loved you for it. I think back about those times now and laugh about it. I can still hear you coming up Thomaston St. with the Tarzan yodel. I think of you with love and fondness. You are now with Dad who loved you very much. My heart is sad, but I have hope that I will see you again and I am going to hold onto that ! xo Love, Jill and Tom
Dear, Dear Duane, I am so so sorry. I wish I could have done more to help you. There will always be a place in my heart for you, my dear brother. Hopefully you are now at peace. I love you. RIP Elaine
