Dougal M. "Buddy" Buie III's Obituary
Dougal M. "Buddy" Buie III 63, of Eustis, passed away on January 12, 2017. Born in Eustis he was a lifelong resident. He was a member of LifePointe Church of Eustis, former member and Deacon of Bay Street Baptist Church of Eustis, former Mayor and City Commissioner of Eustis, he had been a member and Past President of the Rotary Club of Eustis, Past President of the Seminole Boosters of Lake County, a graduate of Florida State University and Eustis High School, enjoyed the Eustis Sailing Club and was a member of Eustis Lodge 85 F. & A. M. and a Shriner. He was the co-owner of the Eustis Fruit company and a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. Buddy is survived by and will be dearly missed by his wife Cathy, children; Danielle Buie of Manheim, Pennsylvania, Matthew (Sara) Monteith of Denver, Colorado and Michael (Ashlee) Monteith of Eustis, his sister Susie Pelfrey of Sorrento and his grandchildren; Thomas Coleman and Orin Monteith. Memorial services will be held in LifePointe Church of Eustis on Wednesday, January 18th at 11 AM with Rev. Mark Douglas officiating.
The final resting place will be Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis.
The family will receive friends at their home, 500 Jackson Street, Eustis, from 3 until 6 PM Wednesday, January 18th.
