Dorothy "Dotty" Stebbins' Obituary
Dorothy “Dotty” Stebbins of Eustis, Florida passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021, at the age of 84 years. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She moved from Decatur to Eustis, Florida in 1963. She married Robert A Stebbins on August 10, 1957 in Hollywood, Florida by Reverend Powell at the Methodist Church. They have been married for 64 years. She was a stay-at-home mother who supported her children's activities in elementary school through high school. She also served on the PTA, band boosters, home room, and other events.
She served as chairman of the American Cancer Drive for the city of Eustis. Member of Lake Sumter Community College foundation for 11 years, serving as the Vice President. She was a member of the Eustis service league, serving on several fundraising committees. A member of Monday night bridge club, and Wednesday bridge club. She was also a member of the Eustis Historical Museum, a member of Pine Meadows Country Club, and a member of First United Methodist Church of Eustis.
Dorothy is remembered and will be dearly missed by her husband Robert A. Stebbins; Son Robert A Stebbins II (Judith) of Orlando, Florida; Daughter Deedra Walker (John) of Belleview, Florida; grandchildren Catherine Kirkland, Thomas Kirkland, Elizabeth Grace Stebbins, and Robert A. Stebbins III.
