Dorothy "Dottie" Brown's Obituary
Dorothy “Dottie” Brown, 92, of Eustis, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, in Tavares, Florida. She was born on March 23, 1933, in Hindman, Kentucky, to her loving parents, Willie and Nora Gayheart.
Dottie was a devoted member of Pine Lakes Baptist Church and an active participant in an Indian artifact club, where she enjoyed learning, exploring history, and connecting with friends. Known for her warm heart and generous spirit, she found joy in gardening, cooking, and helping others—always ready with a home-cooked meal, a listening ear, or plants from her garden.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Brown; her parents; two sisters; two brothers; and her eldest son, Rick Brown.
Dottie is survived by three sons:
Tim Brown
Greg (Dawn) Brown
Chris Brown
She was a cherished grandmother to Payton (Cameron) Ford, Abby (Tucker) Marrillia, Bailey Brown, Ryan Brown, Emily (Connor) Ross, and Jessica Strong; and a proud great‑grandmother to James Ross and Aiden Bowman. She is also survived by her dear sisters, who will continue to honor her memory and legacy of love.
