I was so sorry to hear about the loss of Mrs. Peters. She was a neighbor of ours when I was growing up. Oliver was a fellow classmate at Eustis High and we both played trumpet in the band. I'm so sorry for your loss, Oliver, as well as for you, Mr. Peters. Dear Klaus, Oliver, Kim, Ashley, and Christopher,I was saddened to hear of Dorothea's passing. Please accept my sincere wishes of sympathy.I have fond memories of Dorothea: when she and Klaus were visiting my own mother in Germany, it felt as if two worlds had come together: my Florida family coming together with my Northern Germany family. - Dorothea's wonderfully light Rheinland humor and warmhearted personality will always stay in my memory. What will also remain with me, is the memory of visiting her and Klaus with my mother (when I was still a graduate student in Gainesville). We had to stay overnight because my car was not working properly and I was afraid of driving home in the dark.
