Dexter Dana Eustis' Obituary
Dexter Dana Eustis 69, passed away on July 9, 2013 at his home in Eustis Florida. Dexter and his family are descendants of General Abraham Eustis after whom the city of Eustis Florida is named. He was born in Rumford, Maine on July 22, 1943.
Dexter was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a graduate of Strong High School in Maine. A Veteran having served in the United States Army, he was a retired inspector and compliance officer for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He was well known and loved for his hospitality and kindness along with maintaining family website data. He also enjoyed baking homemade delights from his kitchen. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Stowell and mother Dorothy Helen McGuire Eustis, 2 brothers, 3 nieces and 1 nephew. He is survived by his siblings; Stan Eustis of Raeford, North Carolina, Robert (Joanie) Eustis of Phillips, Maine, John (Eleanor) Eustis of Portland, Maine, Wallace (Mitsuko) Eustis of Mount Dora, Florida, Dorothy (Charles) Daniels of Raeford, North Carolina, Susan Clark of Lewiston, Maine and Rosemary (Greg) Timberlake of Raeford, North Carolina and 22 nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in Wiles Funeral Home, Dixfield, Maine (207-562-7211) at 2 PM Wednesday, the family will receive friends from 1 PM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Dixfield.
