Denny was my first cousin. Our dads were brothers...my dad was Henry, his was Elmer. I only met Denny once when I was a young child but I always remembered him. I have a photo of him with my brother Harold, our dad and our grandma Susie Compton Young, standing in front of where our granda lived. As a kid, Denny was a hero to me and my brother. I wish we could have stayed in touch. As a widow I have empathy for all who lose a spouse. My heart goes out to you Nelda, and to all of your family.
