I worked for Deb Ed back in the late 70's maybe early 80's, I am 68 now and i don't recall dates too well anymore, but i will always remember them as true friends. Anybody who knew Deb loved her. She was intelligent, fun, easy to talk to, and just a very special woman. As one who reaches the "Golden Years" I think you start to reflect back on your life and the friends and family that meant the most to you. Deb was one the people that had an influence on me. She was a compassionate animal lover,( I love horse racing and even though I know she didn't like it she would still come along to the track anyway just to be a part of the gang) She was the 1st vegan I ever met. I remember the smell of her morning star burgers she used to cook with olive oil and onions. She loved to travel because she had a natural curiosity of adventure and discovering new things. I recall when I took my wife Bonnie to Florida she went out of her way to show us a good time.(Bonnie and myself flew to Florida later on to get married and Deb Ed were a big part of our wedding day).I don't think I ever heard her say a bad word about anyone, she was such a caring person that you couldn't help but admire. She once showed me pictures of her past when she 1st met Ed and I said
"You were a real Hippy" she laughed, but you know what...the world we live in today could use more people who believe in peace love. I guess I kinda always looked up to her as a big sister because she was smarter and more mature than me and I respected her values and the way she lived her life. I will always be grateful that she was part of my life. You will always be in our hearts Deb.
