Debra Ann "Debbie" Garay's Obituary
Debra Ann “Debbie” Garay 63, of Yalaha, passed away on January 6, 2018. She was born in New York City and moved here from Rhode Island in 1990. She was a Christian and a Graduate of Florida State University with Bachelor’s Degrees in Humanities, Humanistic studies and World Music. Debbie was the Project Director for Brain Wellness Academy for Seniors at Waterman Village of Mount Dora and past Activities Director at Waterman Village, she enjoyed her membership in the Music Therapy Association, and was an Active Associate of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and of the Society of American Magicians and a member of the International Street Performers Association. She had been the Entertainment Special Event Coordinator at Universal Studios Florida.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Dan R. Dyer, they were married for 39 years, her father; Oswald Garay of Mildenhall. England, her mother; Rosario Garay Miller of Delray Beach, Florida, her brother; Kevin Garay of London, England, her aunt; Sara Rodriguez of Winter Springs, Florida and Theodore Fagaly of Fruitland Park.
Memorial service for Debbie will be held at The Chapel in Waterman Village Communities of Mount Dora on Thursday January 11th at 2 PM with a reception to follow on campus in the Lodge.
Chaplin Alan Jones of Waterman Village will lead the service.
