David Russell's Obituary
David Russell of Mount Dora passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the age of 57 years. He was born in Medford, Massachusetts to Leonard and Rowena Russell. He moved to central Florida from New Hampshire over 15 years ago. David loved to cook and worked as a chef in several restaurants throughout his career. He was affectionately known as “Diamond” to his family and friends. He was talented craftsman and wood worker, making all kinds of cool stuff. He could often be found at Renninger’s in Mount Dora selling the things he made. His favorite holiday was Christmas and he celebrated by decorating his home with incredible light displays. David loved his family and friends dearly. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. David is remembered and will be missed by his son, David Russell, Jr. of Tavares; daughter, Melissa Russell of Tavares; his long-time girlfriend, Rebecca Parker of Mount Dora; brothers, Lenny Russell, Scott Russell and Darren Russell, all of New Hampshire; sister Renee (James) Robinson of New Hampshire and two grandchildren, Brooklyn and Kylee Root.
