David Leroy Ochs' Obituary
David Leroy Ochs of Sorrento, Florida passed away on Saturday February 15, 2025, at the age of 90. He was born to his parents Emery and Clara Ochs in Dearborn, Michigan on January 7, 1935. David was a member of the United States Army and joined on October 17,1956. Within the same year on December 22, 1956, he married the love of his life Patricia. David worked as a truck driver and retired in 2000. He then moved with his wife to Florida in 2001. David loved to golf, hunt, and introduced his kids into archery. He was a member of the Black Bear Golf Course and the Navajo Riding Association, along with the Livingston Conservation Sports Association.
David is survived by his wife of 68 years Patricia Ochs; children Steven and Debra Ochs; siblings Gail, Lois, Harold, and Lawrence; grandchildren Ashley, Matthew, and Jordan; great grandchildren Blake and Elizabeth.
A gathering will be held on Friday March 7, 2025, from 9:30 AM- 10:00 AM with a memorial service to follow at the Hamlin and Hilbish Chapel. Everyone is welcome to proceed to Florida National Cemetery for military honors and placement in Bushnell, Florida at 12:30 PM.
Parking for Hamlin & Hilbish will be in the parking lot across the street next to Lake Eustis Christian Church. There will be cones, a sign, and possible police assistance with crossing. For those unable to walk or needing additional assistance there is parking in the back of the building.
