David M. Levee of Eustis, Florida passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at the age of 88 years. David was born in Syracuse, New York. He is preceded in death by his parents Myron “Sparky” and Audrey Levee of Fayetteville, N Read Obituary
I was a former student ca. 1988-89 BCC. I don’t recall now all my instructors, but I do recall Mr. Levee. He was indeed soft spoken and he was effective. I recall several moments - one worth repeating “Good literature is anything that teaches us something about ourselves.”

David was my friend and teaching colleague for over 30 years at Broome Community College. He was always an inspiration to his students and just a pleasure to be around. Our lives seemed destined to always touch even as we moved into retirement and, more or less by accident, found ourselves living within a short walk of one another here in central Florida. From my heart, I can say I miss him more than I can in any way, express.

A kind, sincere, intelligent man in this little upstate village of Greene, NY. I had the fun/honor of being David’s dance partner when our Performing Arts musical group put on a Shakespeare night of entertainment at The Silo. We had the finest of costumes too. My love and prayers for all of his family in their time of grief but also wonderful memories.
My husband, Lou and I will always have fond memories of David, our brother in law. Always kind and gentle, with a good word for everyone. We spent many a happy weekend with David and Phyllis exploring the art scenarios of Mount Dora and, at the end of the day, watching an old movie with a glass of wine - until David fell asleep on the sofa!

To my beautiful and loving Levee family my most heartfelt condolences. I still have fond memories of Uncle David when we would visit in the summer in Greene, and visits at the lake for family reunions. He will be missed but always remembered. Love always Susannah Frappier Williams.
I remember Dave as a true gentleman, kind and with a sneaky sense of humor and always polite. Dave was a stalwart and helpful member of the Faculty Association of Broome Community College. He was always there when needed as a part of the FA and marched in the rain or icy cold to publicize the rights and needs of BCC faculty. My sympathies to his family. Greta Wingate, retired BCC faculty member and president of the FA of BCC for some years.
Many good times both here and in Florida. I remember going to a Braves game with you and Harold Sunshine during one of my visits.
