Way back in 1976 when my family moved to Eustis from Maitland the first Sunday we attended church at First Presbyterian as official Eustonians, David and Alice came up to my family and informed us that there was a Youth Group ski party that afternoon. Since I didn't know anyone yet I didn't want to go, but David and Alice said they would come pick me up and bring me home so I could meet the Youth Group and have fun! That was a small gesture but meant a LOT to a young girl in a new town. Through the years I never forgot this! I will miss your smile out there in "Left Field". Condolences to David and Alice's family.

I remember David as an older classman at Eustis High School. He was always a humble and helpful person to everyone, even lower classmen like me. I also remember him as a sky diver as a young man. I didn't notice this mentioned in his obit. I used to watch him, and others jump as I laid on my back in the grass on a weekend at Eustis Airport. I offer my condolences to his family and friends.

I knew David a relatively short time. I saw the gentle gentleman he was. Quiet and from the inside such a caring person. He spoke of being an only child, how before he and Alice were married she bought a book on (living with an only child). It must have worked. He spoke often of her family and his friends. He cherished each of you. what a loss we share. I was blessed to have been able to call David a special friend. He will be missed by me and those who knew him from LVT. David was a great friend and unbelievable Volunteer. I will miss him. It is not often you get to connect with someone so special. He was always a person to lift you up and encourage him. I am so happy you are now reunited with Alice.

I have known David since I was a child. My Dad, who was a paraplegic, started a taxi company. When 2 way radios came on the market, David installed and maintained every system he had, both on cars, our home and office.
David and Alice were both dedicated Christians.
Always, the gentleman, he is the only remaining member who still wears a suit and tie every Sunday. I will miss my hugs on Sunday. I had my last hug on in August. I know that his beloved Alice, a role model for women, is receiving the hugs now.
