Curtis Reed's Obituary
Curtis Reed of Eustis, Florida passed away on Thursday July 24, 2025, at the age of 74. He was born to his parents Odell and Artha Reed in Orlando, Florida on October 5, 1950. Curtis was a lifelong Floridian who joined the United States Army on February 2, 1970. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Umatilla for many years. His hobbies included woodworking, from making jewelry to furniture and he was an exceptional artist with a knack for fixing anything.
Curtis is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Joseph and Sherman Reed.
Curtis is survived by his sister Etta Diane (Mark) Rode; grandson Aric (Shannon) Johnson, great-grandchildren Halle, Mason, and Leila Johnson; along with many nieces and nephews.
A service will be held on Sunday August 3, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the Hamlin and Hilbish Chapel, with an hour-long gathering to follow the service.
Parking for Hamlin & Hilbish will be in the parking lot across the street next to Lake Eustis Christian Church. There will be cones, a sign, and possible police assistance with crossing. For those unable to walk or needing additional assistance there is parking in the back of the building with a ramp to assist you in getting into the building.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to go to First Baptist Church of Umatilla.
