Charles E. Hulbert's Obituary
Charles E. Hulbert, affectionately known as Chuck, passed away on April 23, 2025, at the age of 71. A lifelong resident of Florida, Chuck was born in Orlando, FL, and lived his later years in Sorrento, FL.
Chuck was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mount Dora Congregation. He was a man of many passions, known for his love of reading, music, camping, swimming, and the great outdoors. His fondness for music and attending concerts and his joy in exploring nature were hallmarks of his vibrant personality.
With a skilled pair of hands and a creative spirit, Chuck took pride in woodworking and carpentry, which he practiced before founding Lawn Fixin’s lawn care business. He operated the business successfully for 34 years, retiring to focus on his passion for gardening. Chuck’s yard was a testament to his green thumb, bursting with flowers and plants such as Amaryllis, Day Lilies, and Crepe Myrtles. His love for potting flowers brought beauty to his surroundings and delight to his life.
Chuck’s legacy extends to his family, who will cherish his memory and the love he shared. He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Sharon; sons, Douglas James Miller (Nicole) of Deltona, FL, Charles “Chaz” R. Hulbert (Kaley) of Sorrento, FL, and Alexander “Alex” R. Hulbert (Josie) of Mount Dora, FL; daughter, Dawn Hulbert Christensen (Chris) of Winter Springs, FL; brother, Jim Hulbert (Marcia) of Winter Park, FL; sisters, Grace Hulbert Stephenson of Lake Mary, FL, and Sandra Robertson (Craig) of Apopka, FL; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A service in Chuck’s memory will be held at the Kingdom Hall, 18934 State Road 44, Eustis, FL 32736 on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 3:00 PM.
