Charles Arnold Gammenthaler's Obituary
Charles Arnold Gammenthaler, 89 of Eustis passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2009. He was born in Fredericksburg, Texas and moved here from Orlando in 1997. Mr. Gammenthaler was a Chef for Florida Hospital South and Florida Hospital Altamonte; he was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Umatilla, a Master Mason and member of the Grand Lodge of Texas, a Veteran having served in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII and a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife Esther, his children, Janice Elaine (Benny) Deaton of Murphy, North Carolina; Sammy Arnold (Loretha) Gammenthaler of Tangerine and Robert Allen (Pamela) Gammenthaler of Collegedale, Tennessee, his grandchildren, Robert Allen Gammenthaler II of Ft. Worth, Texas; Charles Mitchell Gammenthaler of Walla Walla, Washington, Douglas John Gammenthaler and Scott Davis Gammenthaler both of Collegedale, Tennessee; his step grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Deaton of Sylva, North Carolina and Kevin Forrest Deaton of Ghent, Kentucky; a sister Elizabeth (Reginald) McDougall of Harper, Texas; and his sister-in-law Blix Gammenthaler of The Woodlands, Texas Services were held in the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Umatilla at 11 AM Friday November 13th,2009. Friends called from 10 AM until the funeral hour. Interment with Military Honors by the Lake County Honor Guard followed in Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis. The family requests memorials be directed to "It is Written Ministries" in care of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1400 North Central Avenue, Umatilla, FL 32784
