Charles Edward Adcock Jr.'s Obituary
Charles (Chuck) E. Adcock, Jr., July 31, 1953-April 16, 2026. Chuck was born in Carrolton, Missouri to Helen Rose Adcock and Charles E. Adcock, Sr. At a young age, his family relocated to Eustis, FL where he lived until 1994. He was a proud member of the Class of 1971 at Eustis High School. Chuck’s first career was in banking, serving Lake County at both Sunbank and later Umatilla State Bank. His second career took him to Jacksonville, FL where he was a District Supervisor for Gate Petroleum Company. He retired from Gate after 23 years of service and relocated to Tallahassee to be closer to his sons and grandchildren. He was married twice. First to Donna Lynn (Godwin) Creamer with whom he has three children. And then to Barbara Jean Adcock who predeceased him. In addition to Barabara, he was preceded in death by his mother, Helen, and his father, Chuck, Sr.
Chuck loved fishing and watching good TV and movies but was particularly passionate about riding his beloved Harley Davidson for more than 20 years. He was also a life long Florida Gator and Atlanta Braves fan.
He is survived by his sister, Judy Teague along with niece Mary Rose and nephew Bryan James, his oldest son Charles (Chuck) E. Adcock, III and wife Kimberly, his middle son, Franklin Emerick Adcock, and his youngest son Chad Christopher Adcock and fiancé Cassie, stepdaughter Sheila Kurpil and husband Jon, and stepson, Gene Abston and wife Sherry along with their daughters, Kimberly, Ashley, and Stephanie.
Papa, as he was affectionately known as, was particularly passionate about his grandchildren: Collis Emery Adcock and wife Chloe, Cayden Eli Adcock, Ethan Cole Adcock, Nathan Michael Adcock, Colyan James Adcock and Nylan Lane Adcock, Kyle Stephen Kurpil and wife Amanda and children Zane and Avery and Cody Kurpil. Papa will be remembered for fun antics and letting the boys do things their parents wouldn’t approve of.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 2nd at 11am at Hamlin and Hilbish Funeral Home in Eustis, FL, followed by his interment at Lakeside Memory Gardens.
