Charlene S. Chandler's Obituary
Charlene S. Chandler of Grand Island, Florida passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the age of 78. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Charlene worked for the telephone company as an operator prior to retiring. She met Harry L. Chandler and fell in love. They were married for 48 years.
Charlene attended Victory Church in Dona Vista. She was also active in the Am Vets Ladies Auxiliary Post 1992 in Mount Dora, Loyal Order of Moose Golden Triangle Lodge 874 in Eustis, and the Eustis Elks Lodge. She also enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a member of the SCRC Motorcycle Club, Member 739.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry on July 10, 2012. Charlene is remembered and will be dearly missed by her sons, Thomas Chandler of Lee Summit, Missouri and Earl (Tammy) Chandler of Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida; daughters, Karen Atchley of Leesburg, FL and Carol (Rod) Nutley of Mansfield, Texas; grandchildren, Hannah Atchley, Joshua Atchley Thomas (Madhuri) Chandler, Justin (Paola) Chandler, Sean (Alyssa) Roland, Michael (Savannah) Roland, Morgan (Shawn) Sneed, Matilyn Chandler and Hunter Chandler; as well; as great grandchildren, Willow Chandler, Kaleb Atchley, Frankie Roland, Alanah & Eli Chandler, Cason, Caden & Cameron Sneed
as well; as Life Partner Frank Heflin

Charlene will be laid to rest with her husband at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
