Carol Renuart was the only other mom at Singapore American School who rivaled the crazy that was MY mom. I have many stories about her, but there are two that stand out... The time she freaked out over the dresses that had been ordered for the gals in show choir because they weren't really made for a bodacious bod like Stacy's. And then there was the time Stacy and I dressed up like Christmas trees to sing carols at some fancy hotel in Singapore, and she got upset about something and raised hell until she found someone in charge she could talk to. Neither Stacy nor I could hear what she was saying, but Stacy said that her body language (feet planted shoulder width apart and torso tilted forward with one hand on her hip and the other pointing a finger) meant that that the person on the receiving end of whatever she was saying was getting ripped a new one.
Carol Ah-Yi, you were one in a million. You will be missed.
