Beverlie Benson Tuttle's Obituary
Beverlie Benson Tuttle of Umatilla, Florida went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at the age of 93 years. She was born in New York City and grew up in Boston. Bev married the love of her life, Earl Woodman Tuttle. Together they published a newspaper in the Boston area known as the “Beacon”. In 1982, they moved to New Hampshire. Earl passed away in 1989 and Bev moved to Philadelphia. She became a missionary with the African Inland Mission and served for 20 years. Bev relocated to Umatilla 8 years ago. She was a member of the St. Andrew Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church in Eustis, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Earl in 1989 and her brother, Bradford Benson in 2019. Bev is remembered and will be dearly missed by her daughter, Laura (Kevin) Remmy of Umatilla; sons, William (Madeleine) Tuttle of California and Edwin (Tania)Tuttle of Ecuador; grandchildren, Richard Remmy, Michael Remmy, Christy Locke, Josephine Tuttle, Leah Raval, Benjamin Petersburg and Jonathan Petersburg; as well as 10 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to gather for Mass on Monday, November 15 at 10:00 AM at the St. Andrew Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church. Burial will be at the Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose, Massachusetts. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared on the tribute wall.
