Betty S. Baker Poynter's Obituary
Betty S. Baker Poynter 91, of Leesburg, passed away on May 2, 2015. She was born in Florala, Alabama and moved to Eustis in 1942 from Mascotte, in 2013 she moved to Leesburg from Eustis. Betty was a retired Dispatcher for the City of Eustis Police Department and had worked for the State of Florida in Driver's License Division. She was a Past President of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Eustis and had received their Business Women of the Year award. Betty owned and operated the Little Britches Child Care Center in Eustis and was the co-owner of Concept Wood Playgrounds of Mount Dora. She was a Baptist and attended Lake Church of Eustis. She is survived by her children; Sue Baker (Fred) Pait of Leesburg, Sharon Baker (Roger) Aderman of Palmer Alaska, John (Mary) Baker of Ocala, Kay Baker (Rick) Campbell of Eustis, Bob (Jill) Baker of Eustis and Amanda Baker (Gene) Miller of Jacksonville, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held in the Sturm Chapel at First United Methodist Church of Eustis at 11 AM Friday, May 8th with Dr. Don Pratt officiating. The final resting place will be Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
