Bernice was one of the kindest gentle women I knew. I always enjoyed going to visit the Fillers in Inverness. Always found PAPA out in the back doing some project. She was a real mother and grandmother showing showing love and support to her family. Bernice always made me feel welcomed. I have nothing but the kindest thoughts and feeling of being loved by Bernice and the entire Filler family. I wish Bernice a bon voyage and hope to meet with you once again

There are so many wonderful memories of sweet Bernice. She was a client at Shear Sisters for thirty years.
Bernice was an absolute lady- always dressed impeccably- wearing her earrings, necklace, lipstick- and that beautiful smile. She loved to share her stories, but loved to listen, too. She remembered all the details of our lives and made everyone feel special.
My favorite memory of Bernice is not one specific memory. It is of the expression on her face every time her husband Joe was near. It was an honor to be a witness to the love they shared.

Aunt Bernice was always very special to me as she welcomed me into the family some 33 years ago while strolling in her garden...I had not met the Filler's yet and she told me so many things about this sometimes complicated family and asked if I was up for the challenge to be part of it...She always told things as they were with out mixing words but always with a smile, a twinkle in her eyes, and so much love for so many...may her love and memories comfort you today and carry you through each day as that is how she would want it...Love and hugs...Wendy Filler
