Bernice G. Dodson's Obituary
Bernice G. Dodson 92, of Altoona, passed away on May 7, 2018. She was born in Elk Ridge Maryland and moved to Altoona from Hollywood, Florida in 1989. She worked as the secretary for then General Dwight D. Eisenhower in the Pentagon. Bernice was a Judge for the American Orchid Society. She will be deeply missed by her husband Benjamin, they were married for 69 years. Also surviving is her brother Earl Gunther of San Diego, California. Funeral services will be held in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel on Tuesday, May 15th at 10 AM, with Rev. Don Russell of the First United Methodist Church of Altoona officiating, the family will receive friends from 9 AM until the beginning of the service. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, at 1:30 PM.
