Beatrice Carillo's Obituary
Born on February 19, 1945, in Naples, Italy, Beatrice Carillo passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, in Eustis, Florida.
Beatrice was the beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister whose life was defined by devotion to her family, a strong work ethic, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. She moved to Florida from Long Island in 1989, where she and her family made their home and built lasting connections within the community.
A faithful member of Saint Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Beatrice lived her life guided by faith, love, and generosity of spirit. While she did not belong to formal clubs or organizations, her greatest passion was her family and home.
Beatrice greatly enjoyed gardening, sewing, and taking peaceful walks along the beach. She also treasured time spent at her home in Costa Rica, where she found comfort and joy surrounded by nature.
Her working life reflected both creativity and dedication. She began her career as a drapery seamstress and later became a successful businesswoman, owning and operating several restaurants and bars with great pride. She also worked alongside her husband in the restaurant industry, always contributing with care, determination, and devotion to their shared work.
Beatrice shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, Joseph Carillo. Born December 3, 1939, in Naples, Italy, Joseph immigrated to the United States in 1957, the same year as Beatrice. The two met in 1961 and were married in Brooklyn, New York, in 1962, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in love and faith.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Maria Assunta Langella and Antonio Cesarano; her eldest grandson, Joseph Sabatini who passed April 2020; and many of her brothers and sisters.
Beatrice is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Carillo; her children, Filomena Sabatini, Mary Sue Ortiz, and Frankey Carillo; her grandchildren, Anthony Sabatini, Jarrett Sabatini, Lorenzo Ortiz, Giuseppe Carillo, and Juliette Carillo; and her cherished sister, Annamarie Gallo of Corona, California; and great grandchildren Raquel Beatrice Sabatini, and Joseph. She was also deeply loved by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
