Mrs. Dillard appears in many memories of my teenage years, many, many, serving up delicious dinners on the nights I would spend with Diane, leaving happily with Mr. Dillard for a fun night out, "you kids be careful", gracious and welcoming at the camp, turning a blind eye to our driving the scouts around late into the nights at the scrub, looking for deer, sort of, or three toes...... and getting onto Jimmy to clean up his room, commending Diane and Vera for not going the messy route... strong, then, melting to sweet and soft in a heartbeat. I know she will be sorely missed. I won't be able to be at the graveside, but, she will understand, as my thoughts are constant this day, and prayers constant as conversation to her and those with her now. She hears me. She graciously knows.
I ask the angels and the saints to surround her as she explores and immerses herself in the joys of Heaven and light, with her beloved Jerry and all who have gone before.
It'll be a wonderful reunion. God bless her and all who loved her, every one.
