Anthony J. "Tony" Wawrzycki's Obituary
Anthony James "Tony" Wawrzycki 70, was born in Warsaw, New York to Andrew Michael Wawrzycki and Helen Theresa Szymanski Wawrzycki and passed away in Seattle, Washington on October 28, 2018. At the age of seven, his family moved to Florida. Tony graduated from Eustis High School where he was a star athlete with football scholarships in college. During college summers he enjoyed working for Penn Central Railroad in the central U.S. When Walt Disney World opened he was their first train conductor. In the early 1970s he moved to Seattle, Washington and became a stagehand and led crews at the Seattle Center that did rigging and stage production for a wide variety of events. These included arena shows, concerts, sporting events festivals and symphonies. Tony retired in 2010 after over thirty years and enjoyed travel, woodworking, camping, and especially being a grandfather, how he loved them! He was known for his love and kindness, always ready to help anyone needing it, and always with that special smile of his. He will be deeply missed by his family, including his fiancée; Katie Plymale of Seattle, Washington, his children; Valerie McDonald of West Seattle, Washington and Michael (Brianne) Wawrzycki of Edmunds, Washington, his siblings; Reverend Andrew M. Wawrzycki of Snohomish, Washington, Lucille Romer of Mount Dora, Florida and Mary Jo Wawrzycki also of Snohomish, five beloved grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and so many cousins. Private committal services will be held in Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis
