Alma Frances Johnson's Obituary
Alma Frances Johnson, beloved wife of the late Gerald E. Johnson of Paisley, Florida passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2012. Born December 28, 1919 in London, England, raised in Detroit, Michigan and moved with her family to Lake Helen, Florida in 1966. Always involved in her community, Alma was a Lake Helen City Commissioner and Interim Mayor. After moving to Paisley she became active in the Community Club and the Paisley Methodist Church. She leaves behind four children; Christine (John) Szaroleta of Deland, David (Cindy) Johnson of Williston, Florida, Paul Johnson of Yardley, Pennsylvania and Edward Johnson of Murray, Utah, 9 grandchildren; John Szaroleta II, Andrew Szaroleta, David Johnson Simons, Jeremiah Johnson, Kristen Borowdsky, Lindsay Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Ryan Johnson and Brent Gordon and 5 great grandchildren. A memorial service was held in the Paisley Methodist Church, 24980 County Road 42 Paisley, Florida 32736 (352-669-5035) at 10 AM Saturday, June 16th with Rev. David Asel officiating. The family requests donations to the church in memory of Mrs. Johnson. Her final resting place is in Ponceannah Cemetery, Paisley.
