Alice Mae Rawls' Obituary
Alice Mae Rawls of Mount Dora, Florida passed away on Friday April 19, 2024, at the age of 90. She was born in Banner Roslin, Tennessee on December 23, 1933, to her parents Marion Jack and Pearl Rawls. Alice moved to Florida in the 1950’s, then moved to Alabama in 1992. She then moved back to Florida 6 years ago to be with her son. She is of the Baptist faith. Alice was a proud member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She also enjoyed quilting, sewing, and praying. She was known to so many as truly a nice person.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents, and husband John Harvey Rawls who passed away in April of 2007.
Alice is survived by her children Philip (Rebecca) Rawls, John Rawls, and Eddie Rawls; siblings Joe Ramsey and Barbara Brannon; grandchildren Adeana (Wade) Myers, Harvey, Michelle, Ian, and Justin; great grandchildren Colton, Bella, Tucker, Tristan Myers, and Rhett Rawls.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Hamlin and Hilbish Chapel on Wednesday April 24, 2024, from 4 PM to 5:30 PM.
