Ada I. Ortiz's Obituary
Ada I. Ortiz of Sorrento, Florida passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the age of 82 years. She was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico. Ada and her husband, Nestor, moved to Winter Park, Florida from Puerto Rico in 1986. Ada recently relocated to Sorrento. Ada was a homemaker and a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She moved to Florida to be with her children and care for her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Sergeant Major Nestor Ortiz-Santiago on September 19, 2011. She is remembered and will be dearly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Ada and Bart Settle of Leesburg, Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Jose Rodriguez of Sorrento; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Perry Perez of Orlando; brothers, Gilberto Suarez of Orlando, Luis Suarez and Miguel Suarez, both of Puerto Rico; sister, Maria Virgen Rivera of Puerto Rico; as well as 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to gather for viewing on Friday, December 15 from 10:00 – 11:00 am with a funeral ceremony starting at 11:00 am, all in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
