Rich in community history and tradition, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations has been in the same location since early in the 1920s. Our firm was founded in combination with a furniture business on Bay Street in downtown Eustis in 1915.
Our homelike service and atmosphere have provided comfort to thousands of families, including our own, over the decades. We strive to provide compassionate, empathetic service and value to the families we are honored to serve. Our staff has always been, and continues to be active in service to our community’s government and civic organizations.

Mr. Hamlin served as a City Commissioner for ten years and as Mayor of Eustis three terms. Mr. Hilbish is the former President of the Eustis Chamber of Commerce, and a recipient of three Rotary Service Above Self Awards. In addition, he served on the Founding Board of Hospice of Lake and Sumter.
Members of our staff serve in many local community organizations such as Rotary, Kiwanis, Elks, Masons, PEO, Lions Club, YMCA, Hospice, and as volunteers for many area schools.
Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations in Eustis has been under the same local management since 1974 when Verdual Hamlin and Arthur and Carol Gill Hilbish purchased the former Zeller Kennedy & Hamlin Funeral Home.
