Wilfred Patrick Renuart 74, of Mount Dora, passed away on May 3,2016. He was born in Miami and moved to Eustis from Orlando in 2007. He recently moved to Mount Dora. He was a retired airline pilot and a Veteran of the United State Read Obituary
Wilfred's passing is indeed sad news. We grew up together in Miami Shores, our respective homes a block away from each other. His older brother, Lucien, and his sisters and parents were all very close friends of my family. After-school days would find the Bailey boys and the Lithgow boys, along with Rick Fournier and Kinzy Jones, and I all playing touch football together on Wilfred's front lawn, the sidewalk marking one sideline, the shrubs the other. Bicycles brought us far and wide, many times to forbidden locales along the FEC tracks and the Little River. Even at a very young age, it was apparent to me that Wilfred was an "Old Soul." His kind demeanor, patience, and limitless positive attitude made him the "adult" of our gang. His unique home on NE 94th Street was one of the very first in the neighborhood with a TV, and he would always phone me on Wednesday's to run over to his place so we could watch the Lone Ranger together. I knew Wil when we were both in graduate school at the University of Houston. Wil was flying for Eastern then and had a hard time with the course work do to his erratic flight schedule. Despite it all, he soldiered on. I knew him as a remarkably calm person who rarely allowed the pressure to effect him. I am so sorry to hear of his passing.

Dear Carol and family:
I begin when Wil, then age 12 and I age 10, became friends in Miami Shores. Until Wil graduated from Curley High School and left for College, we, Wil, myself and Charlie, spent much, if not most of our free time together. Time spent riding our bikes all over the Shores, water skiing in Biscayne bay, shooting out rifles in areas that are now populated and playing those mean games of lawn football or ping pong in Wil's garage.
That was then, 60 years, and over those years we would see one another, visiting each other and just staying "in touch". I do not know anyone who did not like or respect Wil. He epitomizes the word "gentleman", was honest, sincere and had a very quick wit.
My friend, and you are my friend, I do miss you but know that you are with God looking down on us and your family. Lastly I want to say that I know of no man so dedicated to his wife that Wil, caring for and loving her over her many trials. God Bless you all.
