John C. Daderko

John C. Daderko of Grand Island, passed away on August 27, 2021 at the age of 72. He was born in Coaldale, Pennsylvania, and moved to Grand Island in 2015. John proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for four years, serving during the Vietnam War. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and worked in that field until his retirement in 2014. John met Diane and fell in love. They were married on November 8, 2005. They would often vacation in Florida and decided to relocate here permanently in 2015. John was a member of the Marine Corp League, Bill Hughes Leathernecks Detachment 1240 in Okahumpka and was working on his membership to the Military Order of the Devil Dogs. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lauren Daderko Buscher in 2016 and his sister, Gabrielle Cleet. John is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife of 15 years, Diane; daughters, Johnna Daderko (Donnell Snyder-Williams) of Easton Pennsylvania and Hayley Daderko of Charlotte, North Carolina; stepson, David Dayton (Cassandra) of Melbourne, Florida, stepdaughter Katie Schoenberger of Charlotte, North Carolina and his grandchildren; Giavanna, Daelyn, Christopher, Stella, Luke, Kate, and Jace. Funeral Services, with Chaplain George Wanberg officiating, will be held in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 10 AM. Committal services with Marine Corp Honors will be held in Florida National Cemetery at 2 PM, September 7, 2021.
