I will never forget talking drawing with Uncle Jimmy, his kindness, his passion for life. He was so amazing with my son as a baby. I pray he was there with the rest to welcome you home. If you didn’t finish your horse drawing we talked about I’m sure you will now. Love you
I have always looked up to my Uncle Jimmie and will miss he dearly. My fondest memory is when I was 15. I told him I wanted to learn to play guitar. I saved my money and sold my latest drum set, to purchase the one he helped me pick out ( I still have it to this day.) He taught me how to tune it and how to hold my hands correctly. He taught me some basic chords and how to finger pic. He is also the person who helped me fall in love with Bluegrass Music. Horses were also something we both loved to talk about. I wish I could say I had his love for tennis. He tried 1 time to teach me how to play. We were at a family reunion that was held at Fort Christmas. He learned very quickly that I was not going to pro and that he was wasting his time. He gave up after I hit him for the 3rd time with the tennis ball. I Love you Uncle Jimmie ( I always called him Big Jimmie) you will always have a special place in my heart.
Jimmy lived across the street from me in Pine Hills. He was a gifted athlete. Our paths crossed a few times at Lockheed Martin and spoke to him recently at a gathering of Pine Hills and Evans alumni. My sincere condolences to Diane, his family, and many friends. RIP neighbor!
