l remember Ron when he owned his bar in Paterson. He was the greatest. When he opened at 11:00 in the morning he would have a friend sit at the bar to make sure nobody would "rip him off". Ron told me this one story when a guy came in to have a beer. When the customer paid, Ron asked him, what denomination the bill was. The customer said it was a $20 but actually it was a dollar bill. His friend at the other end of the bar, called Ron to come over by him. Ron asked his friend, this is not a $20, is it? Ron went back over to the customer and told him, he did not have change but to stay, finish his beer and if he would go over to the store across the street to get change, he would appreciate it very much. The guy never came back. Of course, Ron would rather lose a dollar than $19.00.
