I fondly recall the picnics the Jacobs family had with the Porter family circa 1950 and how gracious Gladys was. And I recall the evenings Don and Gladys came to our home to play cards with the "Fifty-Fifty Club." I believe that Mother and Don are the remaining survivors from that group of adults that I knew as a boy. Mother and I want to extend our sincere condolences to the family.##imported-begin##Gerald N. I have known Gladys and Don Porter since I was a small child. I could always see the love between Don and Gladys. I have so many memories of Gladys. She continually volunteered at our church. One very warm, humid summer day about 2 years ago The Porter's Motor Home was parked in the church parking lot so I went over to what was going on. Don had a blower and Gladys had a rake and in that heat they were cleaning up the parking lot.
